Amazon.de: do I need WEEE (ElektroG) registration?
Short answer
Yes. Before electrical or electronic equipment is placed on the German market, the manufacturer (or its authorised representative) must register it with the competent authority by device type and brand. ElektroG § 6 Abs. 1

What does the statute say?
Bevor ein Hersteller Elektro- oder Elektronikgeräte in Verkehr bringt, ist er oder im Fall der Bevollmächtigung nach § 8 sein Bevollmächtigter verpflichtet, sich bei der zuständigen Behörde mit der Geräteart und Marke registrieren zu lassen.
Ein Hersteller ... der keine Niederlassung im Geltungsbereich dieses Gesetzes hat, muss einen Bevollmächtigten beauftragen.
